In Poland, she complained that it is impossible to check how children are learning online in the Ukrainian education system.

The Polish Ministry of Education plans to introduce compulsory schooling for Ukrainian children has already started in September, that is, since the new school year.

Polish Radio reports this.

Deputy Minister of Education of Poland Joanna Mucha complained that it is impossible to check how children study online in the Ukrainian education system .

“Ukrainian children should not be deprived of education, and, unfortunately, we are dealing with such a situation today. We cannot check how the compulsory education of these children is implemented in the Ukrainian online system. We understand perfectly well that this very large groups of children,” she said.

The deputy minister is confident that some of these children will remain in Poland, “therefore they have the right to education, and Poland is obliged to provide them with this education.” At the same time, Joanna Mucha assured that this is not an attempt at Polonization.

“The Ukrainian authorities are apparently afraid that Ukrainian children will be Polonized in the Polish education system. We have no such plans. We want them to develop their own identity. We want to give them the opportunity to learn the Ukrainian language. I I think that the Ukrainian authorities are especially interested in Russian-speaking Ukrainian children, that they will have the opportunity to study the Ukrainian language in Poland,” she said.

The Ministry of Education of Poland promises to consult on compulsory schooling for children with the Ministry of Education of Ukraine. The reaction of the Ukrainian Ministry of Education to such an initiative is still unknown.

Recall that in May 2023 it was reported that 56% of Ukrainian children in Poland do not study in local schools.
