The publication writes that one of the three Leopard training centers in Europe is located in the village of Sventoszow in western Poland, near the border with Germany – the others are located in Germany and Switzerland. However, the Polish side does not disclose the place of training of the Ukrainian military.

“It is possible or likely that the training of the crews of the Ukrainian Leopard 2 tanks will take place in Sventoszow, but other places cannot be ruled out,” said Yakub Pavlovsky, a military expert and Deputy Editor-in-Chief of Defence24.pl.

Modern Leopard tanks to Ukraine

Since the beginning of the full-scale war, long discussions and discussions have continued about the supply of Western Leopard tanks to Ukraine. Polish President Andrzej Duda, while on a visit to Lviv, said that his country was ready to provide the Armed Forces with Leopard 2 tanks. After public pressure on the German chancellor, who always found an excuse not to transfer tanks to the Armed Forces of Ukraine, he agreed to this and allowed the re-export of tanks. Other European states also spoke about their readiness to transfer this equipment.

Foreign Minister Dmitry Kuleba said that Ukraine would receive 120-140 Western tanks in the first wave of assistance.
