Sending NATO troops to Ukraine against the backdrop of Russia's military operation in the Donbass is currently not considered. The head of the National Security Bureau of Poland, Pavel Solokh, announced the lack of relevant plans, News.ru reports.

“There is no talk of sending troops of the [North Atlantic] alliance and also troops of Poland to Ukraine. There is no talk about this, and today it is not considered at all, ”the head of the Polish department emphasized.

Earlier, French Defense Minister Florence Parly said that no European country or the United States has a desire to go to war with Russia. According to her, the main goal of Western countries at the moment is a ceasefire in Donbass.

On February 24, Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the start of a military operation to demilitarize Ukraine. The head of state stressed that this was done at the request of the authorities of the Donetsk and Luhansk people's republics.
