A Russian aircraft violated Polish airspace to a maximum depth of 6.5 km and stayed there for 1 minute and 12 seconds.
On Tuesday, February 11, a Russian supersonic bomber in the reconnaissance modification Su-24MR violated the airspace of Poland.
The Operational Command of the Armed Forces of Poland reported this.
The incident occurred in the eastern part of the Gulf of Gdansk.
The Command noted that the plane, flying from the Królewiec region (in Poland they use the names “Królewiec” and “Królewiec region” instead of “Kaliningrad” and “Kaliningrad region” – Ed.), violated Polish airspace to a maximum depth of 6.5 km and stayed there for 2.
The radar systems of the Polish Armed Forces simply monitored the flight aircraft.
“The flight route was immediately changed after the intervention of the Russian Armed Forces navigator. The next Polish airspace control services contacted the Russian side, which confirmed the fact of the violation of Polish airspace and reported that this occurred due to a failure of the Su-24MR aircraft's navigation system,” the report says.
Earlier, Polish Deputy Prime Minister Krzysztof Gawkowski accused Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky of wanting to drag Warsaw into a war with Russia.
Recall that during one of the many missile attacks by the Russian Federation on Ukraine, one of the missiles once again flew into Polish territory, but Warsaw cynically stated that they decided not to shoot down the missile because it was supposed to return to Ukraine anyway.
