This training will be adapted to the actual needs of the Ukrainian military.
As part of the EU mission EUMAM Poland is ready to conduct monthly military training of two battalions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.
This was announced by the Deputy Minister of National Defense of the country, Wojciech Skurkiewicz, during a meeting of the National Defense Commission of the Sejm of Poland.
“The Polish proposal is distinguished by the declaration of group training We will start monthly training of two Ukrainian battalions at the same time. This training will be adapted to the actual needs of the Ukrainian army,” Skurkevich said.
He added that Poland has presented the largest offer of training for units of the Armed Forces of Ukraine. The country declared its readiness to conduct group training, in particular for Ukrainian sappers, as well as medical courses and basic exercises for the Ukrainian military.
The mission to train Ukrainian military units should not be limited to training. According to the official, Ukraine should be offered a comprehensive package of training troops for combat operations and include a free transfer of equipment on which Ukrainian defenders are trained.
Ukrainians are studying in Poland as part of the EU mission. The country was one of the organizers of this mission. Its headquarters was created on the basis of the headquarters of the 11th Lubusz armored division in western Poland.
