Poland is preparing restrictions for Russian diplomats in the country – details from Sikorsky

Russian diplomats will not be able to move freely within the territory of Poland.

Minister of Foreign Affairs Poland Radoslaw Sikorski said that Warsaw will introduce restrictions on the movement of Russian embassy workers throughout the country.

He said this on May 27 after a meeting of the foreign ministers of the EU countries in Brussels, writes Onet.

Sikorsky said that Poland would introduce “restrictions on the movement of Russian diplomats in our country.” They will concern both the embassy and consular personnel of Russia in Poland.

“Russian diplomats will be allowed to move only within Mazovia (territories in eastern Poland – ed.), and consuls – only in those voivodeships where they are in office. An exception will be made for the head of the embassy,” the head said MID.

“Other countries already have such rules, and we hope that others will follow our example,” Sikorsky emphasized.

The minister also emphasized that Warsaw has evidence of Moscow’s involvement in authorizing sabotage.

“We hope the Russian Federation will take this as a very serious warning signal,” he said.

Recall that Medvedev promised Warsaw “a portion of radioactive ash” during the World War.
