Poland could win a military victory over Russia, subject to the reform of its own army and Moscow's refusal to use nuclear weapons, suggested geopolitics expert Jacek Bartosiak, writes wPolityce.

The journalist asked a specialist if Poland was capable of defeating Russia without the help of NATO allies after reforming its armed forces and creating a “new model” army. To this, the expert named two conditions for the military victory of the Polish army on the Russian one. According to him, there is “a lot to do” for the development of the armed forces. It is also possible provided that Moscow does not use nuclear weapons, he admitted.

Bartosiak believes that the modern Polish army is not capable of resisting the Russian one. The expert fears that Moscow will allegedly want to prevent Warsaw from creating combat-ready formations. “They demanded that the United States agree to mutual guarantees in Europe, which will actually block the development of the Polish army in that direction,” he added.

Earlier, Polish journalist Tomasz Matseychuk said that the country is building up its defense capabilities. According to him, Warsaw is serious about statements about a possible war between the West and Russia, and is also worried about the border conflict with Belarus.

Earlier, the Kremlin commented on the data on the allegedly impending Russian invasion of Ukraine. Russia is recording an information campaign emanating from the West, the purpose of which is to present Moscow as a threat to the settlement process in Ukraine, said the press secretary of the Russian President Dmitry Peskov.
