Podolyak is convinced that competition for markets with Ukraine is one of the reasons for the war

, said Mikhail Podolyak, adviser to the head of the President's Office. According to him, Russia's war against Ukraine is not just an ordinary battle for territories. the occupiers went on a full-scale invasion for many inadequate reasons.

Why Russia started the war against Ukraine

According to Podolyak, the war, which treacherously started by Russia, has several important reasons. All of them can be summarized in this phrase – they just want to destroy us.

The first reason is the war for territory. Putin and his occupiers clearly say that they are going to occupy Ukraine. In their wet dreams – a complete seizure of the state up to reaching the border with Poland.

The second is a war of values. In Russia, it is seriously “burning” that there is a state nearby with political discussion, freedom of speech; political, economic and ideological competition, etc. Everything is different in Russia: there has always been a chief guard, outlining the rules for the people.

Europeans need to constantly repeat that we have a war of freedom as a value and tyranny as a value. For Russia, tyranny is key. There has always been a king, a general secretary, a president, and a “camp” with people on their knees doing his whims. We have a different concept of life. For Russia, this is unacceptable,” said Podolyak.

The third reason is economic. Russia mainly exports raw materials – they do not have any high-tech products. Thus, the occupiers want to destroy Ukraine, which is also actively working in the market of metal, grain, chemistry, etc.

The fourth reason is the image of a monstrous state. According to Podolyak, Russia did not sell raw materials and energy abroad so much as its concept of a state to be feared. Ukrainian military and civilians literally brought to their knees this “terrible” image of Russia.

Today we brought their monster reputation to their knees. This will not allow them to start negotiations or withdraw from the war. They will hate us as much as possible and want to kill us. And this is psychiatry,” Podolyak stressed.

Earlier, Mykhailo Podolyak emphasized that Ukraine could eventually return to negotiations with Russia, but only on favorable terms. When the Ukrainian military destroy the occupiers to the maximum and begin to massively liberate the southern and eastern directions, then such conditions may appear.
