Anna Shcherbakova, after recalculating points, took second place after the short program at the Russian Championship. This was reported by Match TV.
Initially, Shcherbakova was in third place, gaining 81.46 points. The second place was taken by Sofya Muravyova from the Evgeni Plushenko Academy, but the student of the Olympic champion was deducted a point for the delay in the start and was taken away from her second place. Now she has 80.87 points in her assets. Kamila Valieva remained the leader. She received 90.38 points, surpassing her world record.
Earlier on December 24, figure skaters Alexandra Stepanova and Ivan Bukin became Russian champions in ice dancing, and Mark Kondratyuk – in men's single skating.
The Russian Championship is held in St. Petersburg from 23 to 26 December. According to the results of the tournament, the line-up for the European Championship, which will be held in January in Tallinn, will be determined.
