Alexander Plushenko
Alexander Plushenko, son of two-time Olympic champion in figure skating Evgeny Plushenko, turned to Russian President Vladimir Putin. The interview with the young athlete was posted on the Super YouTube channel.
Plushenko Jr. asked the head of state to pass a law banning StarHit from publishing “nasty things” about him and other children without parental consent. In addition, he spoke about his desire to become a five-time Olympic champion, and also admitted that he is tired of public attention to his person.
Material about Alexander Plushenko, known in social networks as Gnome Gnomych, appeared on StarHit on May 3. It said that a seven-year-old boy suffers from Asperger's Syndrome. The skater's parents denied this information and threatened the publication with a court. Former editor-in-chief of the print version of StarHit Andrei Malakhov later apologized to the Plushenko family.
Alexander Plushenko is engaged in figure skating and regularly performs in ice shows, and also has several advertising contracts. He earns 12 million rubles a year.
