Two-time Olympic champion in figure skating Evgeni Plushenko criticized the refereeing at the Russian championship, which was held in St. Petersburg. It is reported by “Sport-Express”.
The specialist considered the assessments given by the referees to Anna Shcherbakova unfair. “If we now give points for titles, then Elizaveta Tuktamysheva has no less of them, as well as the desire to go to the Olympic Games. If everyone kept silent, it does not mean that everyone was swallowed, ”Plushenko said.
On December 26, the Russian Figure Skating Federation presented the composition of the country's national team for the upcoming European Championship. In women's single skating, the team will be represented by the winner of the Russian Championship Kamila Valieva, as well as the prize-winners of the competition: Alexandra Trusova and Shcherbakova.
Tuktamysheva took seventh place in the competition. The Russian Championship ended on December 26.
