Users of the new Sony console complained about problems with the proprietary controller of the set-top box. This is reported by the publication Game Rant.
Journalists collected feedback from gamers who noted problems with the operation of the DualSense gamepad. According to players, problems are observed with adaptive triggers, which were positioned by Sony as one of the main features of the new controller. Judging by the reviews, the buttons loosen, the trigger spring itself ceases to create the necessary resistance. Gamers believe that this misses the whole point of “adaptability.”
Usually triggers fail after a period of time. In particular, one of the users said that he heard the characteristic sound of the R2 button during the passage of Spider-Man: Miles Morales. After that, the trigger became loosened and stopped responding to some presses. The authors of the publication counted over a thousand complaints about DualSense on the Internet, and there are also several recommendations on the Internet for solving the problem. For example, one of the experts said that he took apart the controller and noticed a problem with the spring of one of the triggers.
Sony has not yet responded to messages on social networks and forums. Gamers noticed that the situation is aggravated by the fact that due to the shortage and lack of components, the process of replacing controllers can take several weeks.
Previously, PS5 users have already complained about the proprietary controller. In early December, some gamers said that during pauses in the game, the console's gamepad may spontaneously activate some buttons. Some DualSense owners said that they managed to get the game accessory returned.
