Plasma donors are accepted in Moscow after revaccination with “Sputnik Light”

In Moscow, they began to accept plasma donors after revaccination with the drug “Sputnik Light”, according to the official portal of the mayor and the government of the capital.

“We started using plasma with antibodies to coronavirus obtained from donors after revaccination with Sputnik Light. Previously, it was harvested only from donors after an illness or vaccination with Sputnik V, – the website says the words of the Deputy Mayor for Social Development Anastasia Rakova.

She noted that it is possible to become an immune plasma donor within six months after vaccination. According to the deputy mayor of Moscow, in this case, you can count on the required level of neutralizing antibodies.

Rakova stressed that if a person was revaccinated with Sputnik V, he too can become a plasma donor 30 days after the second vaccination.

Earlier it was reported that over 45 million residents of Russia were vaccinated with the first component of the vaccine, and 38.5 million were able to complete the full course of immunization. Thus, about a quarter of the population of Russia was vaccinated against COVID-19.
