According to preliminary data, the tourist plane broke out after hitting the ground.

In Peru on Friday, February 4, as a result of a plane crash of a tourist plane of the Aero Santos company, seven people were killed, including five tourists from the Netherlands and Chile and two local pilots.

This is reported by The Guardian.

It is noted that the aircraft was carrying passengers over the Nazca lines in the Peruvian desert. It fell near the Maria Reiche airfield in the city of Nazca.

“There are no survivors,” said Juan Tirado, a rescuer from the 82nd Fire Company of the Brig.

According to the head of the local police, Edgar Espinosa, the plane probably broke out after hitting the ground. The reasons for the incident are being investigated by law enforcement.

The Nazca Lines are a UNESCO World Heritage Site and one of Peru’s most popular tourist attractions. There are hundreds of giant geoglyphs, whose age exceeds two thousand years. Sightseeing flights are often conducted in the region.
