Yandex.Maps has launched a navigation service for the St. Petersburg metro. It will help passengers navigate the subway of the Northern capital during rush hours.
In now you can see the number of the exit from the metro, from which it is more convenient to get to your destination, and find out which carriage to board in order to be closer to this exit upon arrival at the station.
This information was added to the function of building a route for public transport. To get detailed information, you need to create a route and click on one of the proposed options.
It is possible to build routes taking into account exits and carriages both in the web version and in the mobile application on iOS and Android. The service is still available in Moscow, St. Petersburg and Novosibirsk. It will appear in other cities later.
As it became known on October 5, Smolny finally refused to exit the metro at Teatralnaya Square. To the documentation for the contract for the development of pre-design documentation for the placement of the station lobbies, it is said that the intersection of Glinka and Dekabristov streets will not be considered as a possible place for the construction of an exit from the metro.
The authorities have decided on the location for the second exit from Teatralnaya: the lobby will be located at the intersection of Dekabristov Street and Lermontovsky Prospekt.
