The head of the laboratory at the Physico-Technical Institute of the Russian Academy of Sciences Evgeny Aleksandrov and the leading researcher at the Research Laboratory of Spin Optics, St. Petersburg State University Valery Zapassky became laureates of the state prize in the field and technology.
According to the press service of Smolny, scientists received an award for the creation and development of a new scientific direction – spectroscopy of spin noise, the prizes were awarded by presidential decree.
The researchers were congratulated by Governor Alexander Beglov, who thanked them for their contribution to the development of science.
Earlier, the date of the opening of the RAS center in St. Vice Governor Vladimir Knyaginin assured that the institution will begin work at the end of 2021.
