Petersburg overtook Moscow in the daily increase in coronavirus cases

In St. Petersburg over the past day, 1,811 new cases were detected, in the Leningrad region – 232.

For the first time this year, the northern capital surpassed Moscow in daily growth. In the capital, 1,639 new cases of COVID-19 have been identified, this is at least since April 7.

In Russia, 21,378 cases of infection were registered, the daily increase was less than 22 thousand cases for the first time since June 30. The number of people who recovered after being infected with a new virus increased by 18,729 per day, to 5.7 million people.
