Petersburg climber with altitude sickness was evacuated from Elbrus

Moscow. 3 July. INTERFAX.RU – Rescuers of Kabardino-Balkaria have completed the evacuation of a climber from St. Petersburg, who fell ill at an altitude of 5.1 thousand meters on Elbrus.

According to the press service of the Ministry of Emergency Situations in the KBR, the climber born in 1990 was taken to the Azau glade, where he felt better and refused further assistance.

A message from a group of climbers who requested help from rescuers arrived at the Crisis Management Center of the Main Directorate of the Ministry of Emergency Situations of Russia for KBR on July 3 at 7:10. According to preliminary information, one of the climbers showed signs of altitude sickness.
