This was stated by the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Poland Radoslaw Sikorski, the press service of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs reported on Twitter.
The Polish minister said that the foreign ministers of the European Union met for the first time after the Russian missile attack on the Okhmatdyt children's hospital in Kyiv.
Sikorsky emphasized that it is necessary to protect Ukrainian medical institutions from the enemy. That is why he called on his colleagues to lift restrictions on the use of long-range missiles for Ukraine.
The head of the Polish Foreign Ministry said that similar attacks by the aggressor country should be prevented in the future. This can be done by striking Russian strategic bombers and airfields.
“I believe that this will certainly be self-defense, permitted by international law. Protecting children's cancer hospitals is not an escalation,” emphasized Radoslaw Sikorski.
Recall that in Latvia a statement was also made about Ukrainian strikes on the territory of the Russian Federation. Foreign Minister Baiba Brazhe believes that it is worth allowing attacks on those regions , where enemy Russian aircraft take off to attack Ukrainian cities.
