Peresild can offer champagne on the day of departure to the ISS

The film crew consisting of actress Yulia Peresild, director Klim Shipenko and cosmonaut Anton Shkaplerov, who will go to the ISS on October 5 on the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft, may be offered to drink champagne in the morning before departure and, if desired, to cleanse the intestines. This was told to RIA Novosti by the instructor-test cosmonaut of the 1st class, who flew into space three times, doctor, deputy director of the Institute of Biomedical Problems of the Russian Academy of Sciences Oleg Kotov.

He said that this is a tradition of astronauts: crew backup, employees of the Cosmonaut Training Center and relatives of the members of the departing expedition say parting words, and the crew themselves say words of gratitude. At this moment, the crew is holding glasses of champagne in their hands. It's not about a whole glass. Kotov noted that some cosmonauts do not even take a sip of the drink at the same time, they pour it more for show.

The crew was also asked to cleanse the intestines with an enema, however, since they will fly on a three-hour schedule, this problem is not so urgent. Now two more Russian cosmonauts are working at the station – Pyotr Dubrov and Oleg Novitsky. The latter will help the film crew return to Earth on October 17.

On October 5, the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft with the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle will leave from the Baikonur cosmodrome to the International Space Station for filming the film “Challenge”.

Today it also became known that the rector of the Church of the Holy Great Martyr George the Victorious in the city of Baikonur, Father Sergiy (Bychkov), consecrated the Soyuz-2.1a launch vehicle, which will launch the Soyuz MS-19 spacecraft into orbit with a movie crew on board.
