The Pennsylvania Senate has asked the US Congress to postpone the approval of the electoral college vote, which is to be held on January 6. The corresponding document was posted on his Twitter account by US President Donald Trump.
Most Senate members are concerned about inconsistent voting results in the state's presidential election, according to a statement from Senate officials. The parliamentarians also noted that the Governor of Pennsylvania, the Secretary of State and the State Supreme Court committed numerous irregularities during the elections. They believe that the state secretary should not have approved the Pennsylvania vote.
Senate members have asked for a delay in congressional approval of the electoral college vote, especially as the US Supreme Court will hear Trump's electoral irregularities in the coming days.
Trump, in turn, said that such a decision by the state legislature is “big news.”
On January 5, the current president announced that Vice President Michael Pence has the right to review the results of the November 3 presidential election. According to the American leader, Pence has all the necessary powers to invalidate electors who were elected fraudulently in the disputed states. Later, The New York Times reported that Pence refused to change the election results at the behest of Trump.
In response, Trump called the vice president's refusal to change the voting results a lie. He stressed that Pence never said that, and they agree.
