According to her, currently the executive branch of the country is represented by an unbalanced president. “And we only have a few days before we can be protected from him. He did something so serious that a criminal case should be brought against him, ”Pelosi explained.
A representative of the lower house accused the American leader of inciting mutiny and felt that he must pay a certain price for it. She added that Democrats are in favor of impeachment of Trump because they fear that he will avoid punishment for the riots in the Capitol, which they believe he provoked, and will be able to run again for president.
On January 7, the Democratic Congressmen prepared and circulated a proposal for a resolution to impeach the current US leader. The Speaker of the House of Representatives stressed that Trump must be immediately removed from power. According to her, the country's leader committed “subversive actions” and should be removed in accordance with the 25th amendment to the US Constitution on the inability of the president to fulfill his duties.
In the same interview, Pelosi described Trump as a handmaiden to Russian President Vladimir Putin. “I don't know what the Russians have about President Trump – personal, political, financial,” she said, noting that she had no other explanation for this behavior of the American leader.
