“Peace negotiations” with Russia on October 4: what is behind the Kremlin’s next IPSO (video)

by alex

October 4, 2022 Zelensky approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the impossibility of negotiations with RF.

A video has appeared on the Internet that some kind of “peace negotiations” will take place between the Russian Federation and Ukraine on October 4th. Many videos are being circulated on Tik-Tok about the supposed ultimatum of the Russian Federation that after October 4 there will be “either peace or a real war, which the Russian Federation has not yet started.” This is yet another IPSO of the Kremlin.

What is behind the Russian stuffing – read on the TSN.ua website.

“Either peace, or “real war”

Videos with “fearful headlines” are actively being distributed on social networks: either “negotiations and peace”, or “real war, which we still have didn’t start.” The main narrative of these videos is that Russia will seemingly issue an ultimatum to the President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky on October 4If he does not take them into account or refuses to fulfill the demands, the nature of military operations could be radically changed by Russia, even allegedly leading to a “nuclear war.”

This fake was picked up by Russian propaganda publications. The articles come from the headlines “New meeting on Ukraine could take place in October.” The text states that “a new meeting on resolving the situation in Ukraine at the level of security advisers could take place in October 2023. Participants are invited to discuss the “plan of Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky.” They refer to unclear sources.

The vast majority of published videos have the same format: they are created using fragments of filming of military conflicts or recordings of computer games with superimposed sound tracks, which usually contain creepy music. This is a clear sign that this is IPSO.

Why exactly October 4

Why is the date October 4 indicated in these videos – unclear. Probably, the Kremlin used this date for IPSO, since it was on October 4, 2022 that President of Ukraine Vladimir Zelensky approved the decision of the National Security and Defense Council on the impossibility of negotiations with the Russian Federation.

Ukrainian bloggers and military reacted to the “peace negotiations”

Ukrainian journalist Sergey Yagodzinsky reassured and urged not to fall for Russian fakes. At the same time, he asks not to ignore the air alarms, which may sound not only on October 3-4.

“I urge you not to ignore the alarms that will sound either on October 3-4, or some other time day. What we now see in the news (about the victory – ed.) is not going to be given to us just like that,” he said.

The military also responded to the so-called “peace negotiations”. The Ukrainian defender with the Tik Tok nickname “Pasaran” is surprised how people can still fall for such stuff.

“Everything that Russia could show in Ukraine, it showed, except for nuclear weapons. About everything forget the rest. This is again another informational pressure that the Ukrainians are beginning to disperse. But forget, Russia has been blown away,” he sharply commented on such videos.

Recall that in September, Foreign Minister Sergei Lavrov said that Russia is ready for negotiations with Ukraine, but without a ceasefire.
