The founder of Telegram, Pavel Durov, announced the release of a major update of the messenger. According to him, the new version became available only after it received Apple approval.

In his Telegram channel, Durov notes that the new version of the application contains unique features that expand the boundaries of messaging capabilities. In particular, we are talking about the transition from 32-to 64-bit range – this innovation allows Telegrams to work without errors, but may cause problems for some users at the very beginning. Durov advises to “wait a minute or two” after launching the application so that the database is optimized for the new version.

Messenger interruptions can also be felt by some Android users who face connection problems after updating the app. According to Durov, the Telegram team is already working on troubleshooting.

As the website kp.ru previously wrote, the founder of the Telegram messenger Pavel Durov said that from midnight Saturday, September 18, the work of bots associated with the election campaign will be limited. This was necessary to observe the day of silence.
