While adult Russian programmers are considered to be some of the best in the world, Russian student programmers are definitely the best of the best. What they proved once again by becoming the winners of the International Student Programming World Championship (ICPC), which was held for the first time in Moscow.
The team of the Nizhny Novgorod State University became the owner of the cup and the gold medal of the competition. Two more Russian teams – the teams of St. Petersburg University ITMO and the Moscow Institute of Physics and Technology – earned silver medals, and the team of the Higher School of Economics won bronze.
Note that domestic students have won the Champions Cup for the ninth time in a row, and in total, our novice programmers have fourteen champion titles. This year, 118 teams from more than 40 countries took part in the ICPC. Our country was represented by 15 teams. In the meantime, smartphones have been named that will receive Android 12.
