A train carrying 243 passengers and a dozen crew members collided with a truck at an unregulated crossing.
On Monday, June 27, in the US state of Missouri, an Amtrak train with more than 200 passengers derailed after crashing into a dump truck on uncontrolled crossing.
According to Reuters, the accident killed three people, fifty needed medical attention.
Eight wagons and two locomotives derailed and fell into a field along the railway track. Only one carriage survived.
Passengers were evacuated from the accident site through the windows. Dozens of rescue vehicles and several helicopters soon arrived. Videos of the train crash site have begun to surface online.

In total, 243 passengers and a dozen crew members were on the train from Los Angeles to Chicago.
A special commission will determine the causes of the accident.
Recall that recently, near the town of Vrutky in Slovakia, a locomotive crashed into a passenger train, injuring dozens of people.
