Passengers and crew successfully evacuated the flaming plane, but there were casualties.
A fire broke out in a passenger compartment at Gimhae International Airport, located near the largest city in South Korea after the capital Busan plane.

A plane of the regional airline Air Busan, which was supposed to fly to Hong Kong, caught fire on the runway just before takeoff, when there were almost two hundred people on board. The incident occurred late on Tuesday evening, January 28 (15:26 Kyiv time).
All people on board the plane – 169 passengers and 7 crew members – were successfully evacuated using an inflatable emergency slide.
“We believe that all 176 people have evacuated, but we are conducting an inspection inside the aircraft just in case,” a representative of the fire service said.
At first, there was no information about casualties. But later the rescue service reported that three passengers received minor injuries during the evacuation.
According to preliminary information from rescuers, the fire started in the tail section of the plane. The fire then spread to the fuselage. There is no official information yet on how much damage the plane sustained.
About 70 fire trucks, 140 firefighters and 30 units of special rescue equipment were involved in extinguishing the fire.
