Operatives of the Criminal Investigation Department of the National Police detained a 41-year-old supposedly monk of one of the capital's churches at one of the Kyiv metro stations on suspicion of reconnaissance and sabotage activities in favor of Russia.
He promoted the ideas of the “Russian world”, supported the Russian invasion of Ukraine and collaborated with enemies. During a search, evidence of his reconnaissance and sabotage activities was confiscated from his house.
In the phone of the so-called monk, they found correspondence with subscribers from Russia calling for the destruction of Ukrainians, photos of critical infrastructure, audio recordings with information about the location of our checkpoints, etc.
