Moscow. September 21st. INTERFAX.RU – Participants of the International Student Programming Championship (ICPC), which will be held in Moscow in October, will not need a Russian visa. They will be allowed to cross the border according to the lists that will be prepared by the Ministry of Digital Industry, the press service of the government said.
The order to simplify the procedure for entering Russia for participants, organizers and guests of the ICPC was signed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
The final of the championship will be held in Moscow, in the Manege, from October 1 to 6. It is expected that about 1.5 thousand people from 70 countries will take part in it. One of the main topics of the championship will be Open Source technologies – open source software.
Mishustin heads the organizing committee of the ICPC, Deputy Prime Minister Dmitry Chernyshenko became his deputy.
