The developers of the multiplayer arcade Fall Guys have released a fresh update, as a result of which part of the game's code has leaked to the network.
The leaked code was noticed by the creator of the SteamDB database Pavel Dyundik. The SteamDB noted that the developers of the Mediatonic studio themselves allowed the game code to get into the fresh update on Steam. It is worth noting that not the full source code of the Fall Guys title was leaked to the network, but only the intermediate code of third-party libraries, but the code of the game itself was partially leaked.
Thanks to the leak, enthusiasts will be able to quickly implement mods for the title, as well as develop cheat codes. Interestingly, in the leak you can find a folder called BackUpThisFolder_ButDontShipItWithYourGame, which translates as “keep this folder, but do not leave it in the game”. According to Pavel Dyundik, there are about 111 folders with similar names in the code.
