As part of US military assistance, the Ukrainian army received 30 launchers of Javelin anti-tank missile systems and 180 missiles.
This was stated to reporters by adviser to the head of the President's Office Alexei Arestovich.
He noted that part of the weapons received on December 9 are already at the positions of the Armed Forces of Ukraine.

He also clarified that Ukraine expects another consignment of military assistance from the United States. Until the end of 2021, the Ukrainian military will receive weapons from a series of air defense, missile defense and electronic intelligence.

US President Joe Biden on the official visit of Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy at the end August approved an aid package designed to protect our sovereignty from Russian aggression.
The military aid package included lethal weapons, including Javelin missile systems, and non-lethal weapons. For the purchase of these weapons, $ 60 was allocated from the US budget.
On December 8, Pentagon spokesman John Kirby said that the United States expects to use Javelin missile systems in Ukraine exclusively for self-defense.
He also assured that in the event of an escalation of the conflict in Donbass and the invasion of Russian troops into Ukraine, the United States will send additional forces only at the request of NATO allies in eastern Europe.
