The accident occurred on the night of Sunday, October 27, on a highway in Ampere, Brazil. Their Volkswagen Golf crashed into a Ford Ranger pickup truck as they were leaving one road for another.
The collision caused both vehicles to skid, hitting the Toyota Corolla and ending up in a ditch about 50 m away.
They died at the scene.
The couple and their eight-year-old child, who were in the pickup truck, were taken to a local hospital with minor injuries. The driver and his young daughter in the Toyota were not injured.

The Ampera City Hall has declared three days of official mourning in connection with tragedy.
Paulino Kelly's daughter wrote on social media: “A part of me was taken away today. The pain I feel for you, Dad, makes my heart heavy. Every memory is a precious reminder that I cherish. Your smile and your hugs are treasures that I will never forget.”
Authorities are investigating the cause of the car crash.
