The leader of the national Front of Resistance in Panjshir province, son of Ahmad Shah Massoud, known as the Panjshir Lion, Ahmad Masood Jr. called on Afghans to rebel against the Taliban (a terrorist organization banned in Russia ). He posted his statement on his Facebook account.
Massoud said that the entire people of Afghanistan must resist oppression. He stressed the “nationwide” nature of the uprising and added that the struggle was being waged “in the name of freedom, religion and the country's independence.”
The leader of the resistance demanded that the international community “condemn the actions of the Taliban and those who help him.” According to him, “representatives of foreign forces” are participating in the attacks of the militants.
Earlier, Taliban spokesman Zabiullah Mujahid said that Panjshir province is completely under the control of Taliban forces. The Mujahid noted that the rebels had left the province.
Front leader Ahmad Massoud denied the militants' report and said that resistance was still in Panjshir and was ready to continue to fight the Taliban.
