Pakistan does not intend to provide US military bases
Pakistani Foreign Minister Shah Mehmood Qureshi said Pakistan has refused to hand over its military bases to the United States, which is withdrawing troops from Afghanistan, Geo News reported.
Qureshi noted that the Pakistani side wants the peace process to move forward with the withdrawal of troops, saying that “the world does not consider Pakistan to be part of the problem.”
The Pakistani government, he said, has no intention of providing the US with military bases, as it has announced to all political parties.
Earlier it was reported that the United States withdrew a third of its forces from Afghanistan. It is clarified that 30-44% of the withdrawal process is completed. Thus, about 300 cargo planes with materials were removed and 13 thousand pieces of equipment were transferred to the Ministry of Defense's logistics agency for disposal.
