There is evidence that the IDF attacked a senior adviser to the leader of the terrorist group Hassan Nasrallah.
The Israel Defense Forces carried out a targeted strike in the Lebanese capital of Beirut on a Hezbollah commander responsible for the murder of civilians, including children, in Majdal Shams — a village in the northern Golan Heights.
This is stated in a statement by the IDF.
At the same time, it is not yet known whether the commander is alive, Reuters reported, citing a high-ranking source in the Lebanese security agencies.
Meanwhile, The Times of Israel reports that the Israeli military attacked Fuad Shukr, also known as Hajj Mohsin, a senior adviser to the leader of the terrorist group Hassan Nasrallah.
Earlier, the IDF reported that Shukr headed the Hezbollah precision missile project. He was also wanted by the United States for his role in the 1983 bombing of a Marine barracks in Beirut.
The IDF said it had not issued any new civil defense instructions in Israel following the attack on the Heights.
IDF Chief of Staff Herzi Halevi had previously said that Hezbollah terrorists in Lebanon would face a “very serious response” for their attack on the Golan Heights, where a rocket exploded in the village of Majdal Shams on July 27. It hit a soccer field where children and teenagers were. 12 of them were killed.
The Lebanese government then condemned “all acts of violence and aggression against civilians.”
The media has already called this missile strike “Hezbollah's deadliest attack.”
