In the world for the week from 23 to 29 August, experts identified almost 4.4 million cases of coronavirus infection.
According to the World Health Organization (WHO), more than 67,000 infected people have died from the virus and its consequences. Overall, however, the number of new infections in seven days decreased by 4%, and deaths by 2%.
– Information about a 7% increase in the incidence of covid-19 came from the Western Pacific region. At the same time, its decline was recorded in America (by 9%), Africa (by 7%) and Southeast Asia (by 3%), the organization said.
Recall, according to the latest data in the world during the pandemic, the number of infected people increased to 215,714,824. It is also known that 4,395,748 people became victims of covid during this time.
