President Volodymyr Zelensky thanked the Ukrainian athletes for their incredible character and great performance in the semi-finals of the European Futsal Championship.
According to the head of state, Ukraine has been waiting for the semi-finals of the futsal Euro for 17 years. He expressed confidence that the way to the final will be shorter.
– Guys, thanks for the character and cool game! Ukraine has been waiting for the semi-finals of the futsal Euro for 17 years. We believe that the way to the final will be much shorter. You are our heroes! Glory to Ukraine,” Zelensky stressed.
Euro 2022 Futsal Semi-final
In the semi-finals of the European Futsal Championship, Ukraine lost to Russia. The heated duel took place in the Netherlands and ended with a score of 2:3 in favor of Russian athletes.
The meeting started hard for our futsal players, but Ukraine wholeheartedly believes that this is only one stone on the smooth path to victory for the blue and yellow.
Ukrainian athletes struggled to win. Five minutes before the end of the game, Ukrainian Danilo Abakshin gave the second goal scored in favor of Ukraine.
