The Salzburg man came second at the first stop at the Summer Grand Prix. He was 0.4 points short of winner Jakub Wolny.
Austria's ski jumpers made a strong impression at the first station of the Summer Grand Prix in Wisla (Poland). Although a number of domestic top performers were missing (including Stefan Kraft, Daniel Huber, Philipp Aschenwald, Michael Hayböck), two ÖSV eagles landed in the top field with Jan Hörl (2nd) and Markus Schiffner (4th).
Jan Hörl was only 0.4 points short of the win. The 22-year-old from Salzburg was still in the lead after the first round (130.5 meters), 125 meters in the second attempt were too little, Hörl was still outstripped by the Polish local hero Jakub Wolny. Behind Dawid Kubacki, Markus Schiffner (130.5 / 124.5m) convinced with fourth place. Maximilian Steiner (11th) and Ulrich Wohlgenannt (12th) rounded off the good ÖSV team result.
