This was stated Hungarian Prime Minister Viktor Orban in an interview with Roger Kepel – editor-in-chief of the weekly Die Weltwoch.

According to him, Putin said that real negotiations are impossible without the participation of both sides, and “what they do without them is not important, which is logical.” The Russian dictator also stated that the Kremlin had already responded to Ukraine’s first proposals back in the spring of 2022, and since then Moscow’s position has not changed and Russia is ready to negotiate on the same terms.

Orban also shared Putin’s opinion on the ceasefire.

“Zelensky said that there are no positive expectations, because the Russians would use this against Ukraine, and Putin said that the Ukrainians would use this pause against Russia. And I said: “Let's think about it.” , I understand your arguments”,” said the Prime Minister of Hungary.
