Opposition calls on army to enter Yerevan

One of the leaders of the opposition in Armenia Vazgen Manukyan called on the army to enter Yerevan. This is reported by the WarGonzo telegram channel.

Some time ago, as “Rambler” reported, former Armenian President Serzh Sargsyan stated that the Armenian army could use the Iskander missile system at the beginning of the escalation of the conflict in Nagorno-Karabakh in autumn.

Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan responded by saying that Iskander missiles were used, but the missiles did not explode or exploded by 10%. The journalists asked at that time the first deputy chief of the General Staff of the Armenian Armed Forces, Tiran Khachatryan, if this was possible. He laughed and replied that it was impossible. After that, he was fired at the suggestion of Pashinyan.

Yesterday the Armenian Armed Forces issued a statement demanding the resignation of Pashinyan. It says that the dismissal of Khachatryan is evidence that the government can no longer make adequate decisions at the current moment – a crisis and fateful one.

On the same day, mass actions of Pashinyan's supporters and opponents began in the country. Today, several thousand supporters of the opposition Movement to Save the Motherland held a rally in the center of Yerevan demanding the resignation of the government. During it, Manukyan urged the army to enter Yerevan.
