The smartphone surprises with its unusual design and powerful cameras.
With the Oppo Find X3 Pro, the Chinese smartphone manufacturer presented its current top model on Thursday. In addition to the extraordinary design, which is reminiscent of liquid metal from Terminator and thus absorbs the noticeable camera hump, Oppo wants to score above all with strong performance and impressive specifications.
Special cameras
The focus of the Find X3 Pro is on the cameras. In addition to the main camera, Oppo also uses 50 megapixels and a 1 / 1.56-inch Sony sensor for the traditionally less powerful ultra-wide lens. A microlens that allows microscopic images with a magnification of 60 times also sounds exciting. This should enable recordings to be made from a distance of millimeters – for example to photograph surface structures.
Otherwise, the hardware is more than visible. In addition to a Snapdragon 888 processor, there are 12 gigabytes of RAM on board and 256 gigabytes of storage. The 4500mAh battery promises long runtimes and can be charged with up to 65 watts. Wireless charging with 30 watts is now also included in the new high-end model.
1 billion colors
The Chinese manufacturer, which recently overtook Huawei in terms of sales, also wants to score points with a brilliant display. This promises not only a frame rate of 120 Hz, but the display of 1 billion colors instead of the usual 16.7 million. Oppo wants to achieve this via the 10-bit panel, which has a resolution of 3216 x 1440 pixels and 1300 nits of brightness. Oppo has not yet announced the price.
