You can open a special account for Ukrainians “PKO Account without Borders” without any commission for servicing the account and card.

Another service offered by the bank for Ukrainians is the exchange of hryvnias for zlotys. The limit for each person wishing to exchange is UAH 10,000 at the official exchange rate without additional fees.

Czech banks for Ukrainian refugees

Ukrainian refugees in the Czech Republic can open bank accounts for free without paying maintenance. These accounts also receive aid that the state pays to refugees. For example, CSOB bank pays 2500 kroons to the account, Komerční banka pays humanitarian aid in the amount of 2000 kroons. In the Česká Spořitelna bank, refugees are paid 500 CZK per month for six months, only 3,000 kroons.

What Austrian banks offer for Ukrainians

At an Austrian bank BAVAG PSK Ukrainians can open an account (Beihilfenkonto) and get a card. But for this you need to have a passport and know German. Previously, it was possible to open a bank account only with a residence permit. Account maintenance costs 3 euros per month. The card can be used for settlements in any country in Europe without commission for depositing cash into the account.

Opening an account with Bank Austria is free of charge, however, the bank sets limits on deposits and withdrawals.
