Only 3% of Belarusians are in favor of bringing Belarusian troops into Ukraine to support Russia's side.

This is evidenced by the results of the “Chatham House” study. The poll was conducted on March 5-14.

Thus, 97% chose other options for action – maintaining neutrality or condemning the parties. And 3% were in favor of participating in hostilities. Another 1% believes that it is necessary to support Ukraine in the confrontation with Russia.

The results of the survey were presented by Hryhoriy Astapenya, director of the Belarusian Initiative at Chatham House.

“Chatham House polled 896 respondents from 5 to March 14, 2022. The sample corresponds to the structure of the urban population of Belarus and is adjusted for gender, age, size of settlements and level of education.

The survey was conducted using Internet interviews (CAWI), which practically means that the sample was limited to Internet users. According to various sources, 75-82% of the population of Belarus uses the Internet, while Internet users are more economical and socially active.
