OnePlus and Oppo are gearing up for a merger. Today it became known that the firmware of the companies – OxygenOS and ColorOS – will receive a common code. But this, as it turned out, is not the most interesting detail of the future integration.
The information was shared by a Chinese insider. He said that OnePlus smartphones will become another flagship line of the Oppo company. According to an insider, OnePlus models will be marketed as Huawei's P series and will benefit from camera performance.
The second flagship line will be the Oppo Find X. Its positioning will be similar to the Huawei Mate series.
Since both companies said they would not lose their autonomy, this news comes as a surprise. However, it may turn out to be a sensible decision, which is likely to take effect next year.
