One of the most wanted terrorists in the world killed in Afghanistan
An influential representative of the terrorist organization Al-Qaeda, banned in the Russian Federation, was killed in Afghanistan. We are talking about Abu Mohsen al-Masri, who was previously listed by the CIA on the list of the most wanted terrorists in the world, Interfax writes.
As noted, Al-Masri was considered the second person in al-Qaeda in the Indo-Pakistani region. He was eliminated in the province of Ghazni, located in the central part of the country. At the same time, the Afghan special services do not provide any details of the special operation.
Al-Masri was an Egyptian by birth. He was listed by the CIA on the list of the most wanted terrorists in the world. The arrest warrant for the terrorist was issued in the United States in December 2018, when charges were brought against him of involvement in the preparation of the murders of American citizens.
Recall that at the beginning of the year, the US military conducted an operation in Yemen. As a result of the campaign, the leader of the terrorist group Al-Qaeda in the Arabian Peninsula was killed.
