On the Day of Russia, the Knowledge Society organized a quiz-marathon that got into the Book of Records

On June 12, the qualifying stage of the All-Russian quiz-marathon, organized by the Russian society “Knowledge”, took place. More than 8,000 people from 315 Russian cities took part in the intellectual marathon timed to coincide with the Day of Russia.

1278 teams competed in the qualifying stage. This result was included in the “Russian Book of Records”. They competed in the knowledge of the history and geography of Russia, its science, culture, art and sports. The players participated in the online competition, everyone could watch the progress of the expert competition through the Internet broadcast.

The 500 teams with the most points will compete in the next stage of the Knowledge Marathon.

The semi-final will take place on June 19 and will be held simultaneously in different cities of Russia in full-time format. According to its results, 100 strongest teams will go to Moscow to fight in the final on June 26. Ten winning teams, as well as five teams that will be the best in special nominations, will be able to choose as a reward a dream trip to one of the most unusual places in Russia: the Putorana Plateau, Lake Baikal, to Karelia, Kamchatka or Altai.
