On ISS, American astronauts share food with Russians awaiting delivery

At the International Space Station, American astronauts shared some of their food with their Russian counterparts awaiting delivery following the rescheduled launch of the Progress freighter. This was reported by the NASA space agency following the negotiations of the station's crew with the Earth.

“We received from the American side (I don’t remember the exact number now), in my opinion, 13 containers with food rations,” Russian cosmonaut Sergei Ryzhikov said in his report to the specialists of the Mission Control Center near Moscow.

The launch of the Progress cargo ship was supposed to take place on December 11, but was postponed due to additional checks to 2021. This became known back in October 2020. Most likely, a cargo ship with food for astronauts will be sent to the International Space Station on February 15.
