Old revolvers of the early twentieth century found in Astrakhan
In Astrakhan, ammunition of the early twentieth century was found, according to OTR.
A copy of an ancient weapon was found during the demolition of an illegally installed metal garage. The police seized cartridges and revolvers “Galan Velodog” and “Nagant”.
It is noteworthy that the weapon was wrapped in a 1918 newspaper.
Forensic experts are currently investigating the find. They have to find out whether the revolvers are suitable for shooting, as well as their origin. A criminal case was initiated on this fact.
Earlier in the Crimea, 153 ammunition was found on the sunken ship “Jean Jaures”. Air bombs, artillery shells, hand grenades – this formidable legacy of the war remained on the seabed for many years. And in Lyubertsy near Moscow, two aerial bombs of the Great Patriotic War were defused. Rescuers dug up the ammunition, placed it in a special container and took it to the landfill, where it was destroyed.
