The price of WTI oil reached the level of September 2014, exceeding $95 per barrel. This is evidenced by trading data.
As of 22:25 Moscow time, the price of March futures reached $95.5 per barrel at its peak. April futures for Brent oil reached $96.5 per barrel.

Earlier, analysts interviewed by Bloomberg said that the rise in oil prices to $100 per barrel and above would spur inflation and create recession risks in a number of countries. Since last year, world oil prices have risen by more than 50 percent. Among the reasons: market recovery after the coronavirus pandemic, geopolitical tensions and supply chain congestion.
