It is necessary to limit world oil prices to $30 per barrel, achieve maximum isolation of Russia in order to end a full-scale war against Ukraine and deprive Moscow of the ability to attack other countries.
This was stated by Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelensky in an address to the Senate and the House of Representatives of the Dutch Parliament.

“We must act in two main directions to truly end this war and create a lasting peace,” Zelensky says.
In his opinion, the first step is to isolate Russia as much as possible. This means political isolation, sanctions against Russia, and the interruption of any cooperation that helps the aggressor continue the war.

He believes that any existing scheme of Moscow must be stopped. But what really hurts Russia and limits its ability to wage war is the $30-a-barrel oil price ceiling, Zelensky added, so the world must reach that level.
The president noted that any drop in Russian oil revenues helps bring peace closer. In addition, Ukraine needs another package of real and painful sanctions against Russian oil, he asserts.

The second step is stability in defense support for Ukraine, the president said. He called for support for long-term programs of support and cooperation with Ukraine. In his opinion, Russia must see that Ukraine will not be left alone, and Europe will not retreat.
“Russia is stronger than any of us alone. But it is weaker than all of us together,” Zelensky summed up.
